MAPLE GROVE, Minn., June 26, 2018 /PRNewswire
—GUARDIAN RFID, the global leader in inmate management and tracking systems, today announce Mississippi County Sheriff's Office in Luxora, Arkansas, has gone-live with GUARDIAN RFID for its jail and juvenile detention facilities.

The Mississippi Co. Juvenile Detention Center holds up to 20 juveniles and will be using GUARDIAN RFID to automate its well-being checks on youth offenders.

Android + RFID Leads the Way

Mississippi Co. has deployed SPARTAN, the ultra-rugged Android from GUARDIAN RFID running Mobile Command software, including hardened RFID tags strategically deployed throughout the facility to automate a wide range of data collection and reporting, including security checks and cell checks, headcounts, inmate programs attendance, and other inmate activity logging.

Specifically, Mississippi Co. Jail is using customizable WordBlocks to automate point of responsibility logging critical to their agency using Mobile Command, the Android-based mobile application from GUARDIAN RFID. This includes inmates electronically signing for certified legal mail, as well as logging meal offerings, recreation offerings, when inmates receive certain supplies, such as FlexPens, as well as when juveniles are go to Classrooms or Religion.

Process Inefficiencies and Data Silos Contribute to Communication Challenges

Prior to GUARDIAN RFID, Mississippi Co. Jail used Guard1 and the PIPE, a guard tour solution from TimeKeeping Systems, and was heavily dependent on a wide range of paper logging alongside their Jail Management System (JMS) from SOMS (M&M Micro Systems).

Mississippi Co. Command Staff chose GUARDIAN RFID for its powerful configurability, ease of use, and its integration with SOMS.

The GUARDIAN RFID Cloud, OnDemand, will also help Mississippi Co. gain real-time situational awareness, monitor security round performance, and access activity streams and reporting tools from anywhere, while working with their JMS.

The deployment of GUARDIAN RFID was coordinated in exclusive partnership with the Association of Arkansas Counties' Risk Management Fund (AARMF).
