Description

MAPLE GROVE, Minn. – March 21, 2023 – GUARDIAN RFID today announced the Huntington Beach Police Department, California, has signed an agreement to rollout Command Cloud, the world’s first officer experience platform, in its facility to strengthen security and vigilance for all staff while increasing safety and security for all inmates.

Historically completing documentation through paper logs, Huntington Beach Police Department staff spent extensive hours manually inputting records in its jail management system (JMS). This labor-intensive process of logging information couldn’t provide adequate data collection and didn’t allow for internal staff collaboration and operational awareness. The team realized the need for a platform to bolster efficiency in its daily operations by unifying the execution of its inmate management objectives, using RFID, the Cloud, and mobile to automate actionable, security-critical workflows.

Now by implementing GUARDIAN RFID’s Command Cloud biometric capabilities including AI, RFID, mobility, and business intelligence, the Huntington Beach Police Department will be fully leveraging Command Cloud’s revolutionary AI-powered observation check capabilities that use machine learning to ensure the performance of staggered, irregular rounds. Command Cloud is a SOC 2 Type 2 compliant platform of integrated applications and services that supports a modern tech stack, including computer vision, machine learning, RFID, mobile, and native Cloud capabilities powered by AWS and runs in AWS GovCloud. This upgrade in technology will help staff digitize their workflows, hold officers accountable, and improve overall staff morale.

Being an early adopter of Command Cloud, the staff are not only eager to terminate the tedious process of manual logging, but they are also readily accepting of the full-stack technology upgrade to enhance officer and inmate safety, as well as boost efficiency in daily tasks. The Huntington Beach Police Department holds a strong commitment to the safety and security of its community, and implementing GUARDIAN RFID aligns with the department’s mission of adapting innovative, modern technology to ensure the highest quality experience for all community members, including its staff and inmates.
