MAPLE GROVE, Minn., April 12, 2022—GUARDIAN RFID, the global leader in inmate management and tracking systems, today announced that the Hansford County Sheriff’s Office in Spearman, Texas has gone-live GUARDIAN RFID for its prison to manage, monitor, and track its inmate population.
Hansford County Sheriff’s Office has historically kept all data entries using pen and paper as well as Net Data as their jail management system. However, rounds were found to be ineffective as it was an exhaustive, manual process. The correctional staff realized the need for a more effective, digital documentation system that unifies the execution of their inmate management objectives to automate actionable, security-critical workflows.
GUARDIAN RFID is replacing Hansford Co.’s outdated tracking system and deploying SPARTAN, an ultra-rugged Android device, which runs Mobile Command software to capture a wide range of inmate activities, behavioral observations, inmate movements, program attendance, and court transports. Mobile Command will also enable staff to capture image and video assets during cell checks uploaded to OnDemand, the GUARDIAN RFID Cloud. OnDemand will allow staff to gain real-time situational awareness and positive ID headcount performance.
Hansford Co.’s staff looks forward to utilizing the SPARTAN’s camera and video feature to physically document medications, meals, checks, and so much more, in order to follow compliance standards.
