Description

MAPLE GROVE, Minn., December 14, 2021 —GUARDIAN RFID, the global leader in inmate management and tracking systems, today announced that Luna County Detention Center (Deming, New Mexico)—has selected GUARDIAN RFID for its prison to manage, monitor, and track its nearly 500 inmate population.

Prior to discovering GUARDIAN RFID, Luna Co. used Guard1 technology with its iButton-based guard tour solution, known as the PIPE, to log low-risk security rounds and inmate movements while using paper to log headcounts and supplies. With inconsistent documentation and feedback on round compliance -on top of the courthouse over a mile away- Luna Co. staff realized the importance of improving their internal staff communication and operational awareness as well as increasing their out-of-cell tracking capabilities. Searching for a platform that unifies the execution of their inmate management objectives, Luna Co. found GUARDIAN RFID to help automate its actionable security-critical workflows.

Luna County Detention Center will deploy GUARDIAN RFID’s SPARTAN, an ultra-rugged Android device which runs Mobile Command software, to capture a wide range of inmate activities, behavioral observations, inmate movements, program attendance, and court transports. Mobile Command will also enable staff to capture image and video assets during cell checks uploaded to OnDemand, the GUARDIAN RFID Cloud. OnDemand will allow staff to gain real-time situational awareness and monitor security rounds.
