MAPLE GROVE, Minn., December 3, 2021—GUARDIAN RFID, the global leader in inmate management and tracking systems, today announced that the Linn County Sheriff’s Office in Mound City, Kansas has confirmed a closing contract with GUARDIAN RFID to manage, monitor, and track its inmate population.
Linn Co. historically performed its logging capabilities with its jail management system, Zuercher, to manage security rounds, inmate movements, and daily activity logging. Realizing the outdated technology barriers that lacked internal staff collaboration and operational awareness, Linn Co. found GUARDIAN RFID to unify the execution of their inmate management objectives, using RFID, the Cloud, and mobile to automate actionable security-critical workflows.
Needing a bulletproof solution for rounds tracking and inmate interactions, Linn Co. staff will use GUARDIAN RFID’s SPARTAN, an ultra-rugged Android, along with hardened RFID tags to capture a wide range of inmate activities, behavioral observations, inmate movements, programs attendance, and court transports. Mobile Command will also enable staff to capture image and video assets during cell checks as well as a signature for critical supplies, which is then uploaded to OnDemand, the GUARDIAN RFID Cloud. OnDemand will allow staff to gain real-time situational awareness and positive ID headcount performance.
