MAPLE GROVE, Minn., October 4, 2021 —GUARDIAN RFID, the global leader in inmate management and tracking systems, today announced that the Gray County Sheriff’s Office in Pampa, Texas will go live with GUARDIAN RFID to manage, monitor, and track its inmate population.
Prior to learning about GUARDIAN RFID, Gray County Sheriff’s Office used pen and paper to document all activities, manage security rounds, inmate movements, and daily information logging. This laboring approach to logging information lacked internal staff collaboration and operational awareness. Gray Co. realized the need for a platform that unifies the execution of their inmate management objectives, using RFID, the Cloud, and mobile to automate actionable, security-critical workflows. Officers look forward to transitioning away from pen and paper and utilizing GUARDIAN RFID to update its facility’s digital imperative.
Gray Co. staff will be using GUARDIAN RFID’s Mobile Command running on SPARTAN, an ultra-rugged Android device, along with hardened RFID tags to capture a wide range of inmate activities, behavioral observations, inmate movements, program attendance, and court transports. Mobile Command will also enable staff to capture image and video assets during cell checks uploaded to OnDemand, the GUARDIAN RFID Cloud. OnDemand will allow staff to gain real-time situational awareness, and monitor security round and positive ID headcount performance, while interfacing with their existing jail management system, Justice Solutions.
