MAPLE GROVE, Minn., Sept. 10, 2021 —GUARDIAN RFID, the global leader in inmate management and tracking systems, today announced that Bosque County Sheriff’s Office in Meridian, Texas—has selected GUARDIAN RFID for its county jail to manage, monitor, and track its 50+ inmate population.

In recent years, Bosque Co. had used MTI Tablets to log their officer rounds but quickly learned that the system didn’t connect well with their WiFi. This problem led staff back to using pen and paper, along with their jail management system, eDoc, to manage security rounds, inmate movements, and daily activity logging. This manual approach to logging information lacked internal staff collaboration and operational awareness. Bosque Co. realized the need for a platform that unifies the execution of their inmate management objectives, using RFID, the Cloud, and mobile to automate actionable, security-critical workflows.

Looking for an effective and accountable solution to documenting activities and movements within the facility, Bosque County Sheriff’s Office will deploy GUARDIAN RFID technology in the coming months. Staff looks forward to implementing SPARTAN, an ultra-rugged Android device from GUARDIAN RFID running Mobile Command software, along hardened RFID tags to capture a wide range of inmate activities, behavioral observations, inmate movements, programs attendance, and court transports. Mobile Command will also enable staff to capture image and video assets during cell checks uploaded to OnDemand, the GUARDIAN RFID Cloud. OnDemand will allow staff to gain real-time situational awareness and positive ID headcount performance.
