MAPLE GROVE, Minn., February 3, 2021 —GUARDIAN RFID, the global leader in inmate management and tracking systems, today announced that the Tuscaloosa County Courthouse in Tuscaloosa, Alabama has gone live with GUARDIAN RFID.

Unlike most agencies that deploy GUARDIAN RFID in a jail or prison facility for its inmate tracking needs, the Tuscaloosa County Courthouse is currently deploying GUARDIAN RFID technology to ensure their court officers are doing rounds during court hours.

Staff will be using Mobile Command running on SPARTAN, an ultra-rugged Android from GUARDIAN RFID, along with hardened RFID tags to capture any observations including activities, movements, attendance, and court transports. Mobile Command will also enable staff to capture image and video assets during cell checks uploaded to OnDemand, the GUARDIAN RFID Cloud. OnDemand will allow officers to gain real-time situational awareness.
