Description

MAPLE GROVE, Minn., November 6, 2020 —GUARDIAN RFID, the global leader in inmate management and tracking systems, today announced that the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office in St. Helens, Oregon will go live with GUARDIAN RFID to manage, monitor, and track its 200+ inmate population.

Columbia Co. correctional staff have noticed the amount of time being tied to a desk trying to fix inconsistent audits and records takes away from their daily tasks. “I have spent hours researching and solving grievances for menial things like cleaning supplies, legal mail delivery, and commissary,” said Commander McDowall. Knowing they need to optimize their efforts, especially as a rural jail, Columbia County is teaming up with GUARDIAN RFID for a true digital transformation.

Instead of worrying about round verification and if reports are insightful enough, Columbia County will be using Mobile Command running on SPARTAN, an ultra-rugged Android from GUARDIAN RFID,  along with RFID Wristbands to capture a wide range of inmate activities, behavioral observations, inmate movements, programs attendance, and court transports. Mobile Command will also enable staff to capture image and video assets during cell checks uploaded to OnDemand, the GUARDIAN RFID Cloud.
