MAPLE GROVE, Minn., October 23, 2019 —Page County Sheriff’s Office, Iowa, has partnered with GUARDIAN RFID to roll out its inmate management system that automatically captures a wide range of inmate activities, behavioral observations, inmate movements, court transports, and positive ID headcounts that works with the county’s existing jail management system.

GUARDIAN RFID is replacing the jail’s long-standing paper-based logs and manual forms. No longer having to worry about alleged pencil whipping, the ultra-rugged Android devices, otherwise known as a  SPARTAN, will manage, monitor, and track inmates using Mobile Command, the most widely deployed mobile application in corrections.

The GUARDIAN RFID system will help jail staff collect data faster and more comprehensively than its present manual tools. This includes inmate meal offerings, program attendance, and medication administration records which will help reduce inmate complaints and future litigation while increasing compliance efficiency with Iowa jail standards. GUARDIAN RFID will also enable staff to share and communicate information faster than ever, thanks to its Cloud-based platform, OnDemand, which interfaces with the county’s current jail management system.
