MAPLE GROVE, Minn., September 19, 2019—GUARDIAN RFID, the global leader in inmate management and tracking systems, today announced that the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office in Anoka, Minnesota, has gone live with GUARDIAN RFID to manage, monitor, and track its roughly 250-bed facility.

Prior to GUARDIAN RFID, Anoka County completed all of its documentation inside their JMS, Police Central. In 2019 alone, the staff documented 430,000 rows worth of well-being checks into Police Central. Unfortunately, this manual method of tracking lacked important details and left weak reports. Now, Anoka County Jail will use GUARDIAN RFID to upgrade its security rounds, inmate movements, and daily activity logging. By implementing Mobile Command, new ID cards, and a 2-way interface, Anoka County Jail can now capture a wide range of inmate activities, behavioral observations, program attendance, and court transports. Mobile Command will also enable staff to capture image and video assets during cell checks uploaded to OnDemand, the GUARDIAN RFID Cloud. OnDemand will allow staff to gain real-time situational awareness and positive ID headcount performance.
