MAPLE GROVE, Minn., Oct. 4, 2018 /PRNewswire — GUARDIAN RFID, the global leader in inmate management and tracking systems, today announce Tioga County Prison has chosen the Command & Control platform from GUARDIAN RFID.

Tioga County Prison is a 142 bed facility that is digitally transforming its operations with the Command & Control platform from GUARDIAN RFID to maximize staff productivity, increase compliance efficiency with Pennsylvania Jail Standards, and eliminate its manual systems.

One of the primary challenges Tioga County Prison faces is the dependence on manual and paper-based systems. Tioga County Prison also uses the PIPE and Guard1 from TimeKeeping Systems, a standalone guard tour solution, to log security checks. The use of multiple, separate systems have increased operational inefficiency and complicated efforts to manage inmate records. The result: preventable miscommunication, inability to measure results, time consuming report gathering, and incomplete or missing records.

With GUARDIAN RFID, Tioga County Prison can electronically demonstrate their care and custody of offenders to ensure safety and security, while complying with jail standards, while interfacing with OMSe, their offender management system from GTL.

Operational Dominance with Ultra Rugged Android

Tioga County Prison is deploying SPARTAN, the ultra-rugged Android from GUARDIAN RFID, running Mobile Command software. Staff will now be capturing data at the point of responsibility. The prison is also deploying hardened RFID tags strategically located throughout their facility to automate a wide range of data collection and reporting, including security checks and cell checks, headcounts, meal and recreation offerings, and a wide-range of other inmate activity logging at the point of responsibility.

Tioga County Prison inmates will also be outfitted with RFID Wristbands for inmate tracking, which includes programs attendance, court transports, and medical visits.

Command & Control

Deputy Warden Erik Coolidge chose GUARDIAN RFID because of its superior reporting and data collection, as well as the depth of its configurability and Cloud reporting.

Features such as Workflows, which supports the ability to create fully customizable modules, the ability to capture inmate activity logging in real-time, and the existing integration support with OMSe were critical capabilities supported by GUARDIAN RFID.

The GUARDIAN RFID Cloud, OnDemand, will also help Tioga County Prison gain real-time situational awareness, monitor security round performance, and access activity streams and reporting tools from anywhere, while working with its jail management system from OMSe.
