MAPLE GROVE, Minn., Oct. 11, 2022 —GUARDIAN RFID, the global leader in inmate management and tracking systems, today announced that Yuba County Detention Facility in Marysville, California—has selected GUARDIAN RFID for its county jail to manage, monitor, and track its inmate population.

The Yuba County Detention Facility has an average daily population of over 200 inmates. Prior to discovering GUARDIAN RFID, Yuba Co. used an iButton-based guard tour solution, known as the PIPE, to manage security rounds, inmate movements, and daily activity logging. Staff realized that this approach to logging information was extremely time-consuming and not completely accurate. The officers lacked internal collaboration and operational awareness, leaving Yuba Co. in dire need of a platform that unifies the execution of their inmate management objectives and automates actionable, security-critical workflows.

Yuba Co. staff looks forward to deploying GUARDIAN RFID’s SPARTAN, an ultra-rugged Android device that runs Mobile Command software to capture a wide range of inmate activities, behavioral observations, inmate movements, programs attendance, and court transports. Mobile Command will also enable staff to capture image and video assets during cell checks uploaded to OnDemand, the GUARDIAN RFID Cloud. OnDemand will allow staff to gain real-time situational awareness, and monitor security round and positive ID headcount performance.
