MAPLE GROVE, Minn., September 2, 2022/PRNewswire — GUARDIAN RFID, the global leader in inmate management and inmate tracking systems, announces today the McCracken Co. Regional Jail (Paducah, Kentucky) is now live with GUARDIAN RFID technology.
With an average daily population of 466 inmates, McCracken Co. Regional Jail services approximately 68,000 residents in the far northwestern region of Kentucky.

McCracken Co. Regional Jail looked to GUARDIAN RFID to overcome inconsistent logging and difficulty in managing records. Previously, the facility had been using Guard1 since 2018 but found the system limited in its capabilities and lacked reliability, causing continued dependence on paper processes and manual logging into their jail management system. Due to these shortcomings, the facility experienced preventable miscommunication, inability to measure results, time-consuming report gathering, and incomplete or missing records.

With GUARDIAN RFID, the McCracken Co. Regional Jail is digitally transforming its operations to support real-time security rounds, including monitoring high-risk offenders, as well as inmate activity logging, and more while interfacing with JailTracker, the agency’s jail management system.

Operational Dominance with Ultra Rugged Mobility

Included in this announcement, the McCracken Co. Regional Jail has deployed SPARTAN 3, the latest ultra-rugged Android from GUARDIAN RFID, running Mobile Command software. Now, staff can capture data at the point of responsibility, giving them complete control over operational efficiency and success. Hardened RFID tags have been strategically located throughout their facility to automate a wide range of data collection and reporting, including security checks and cell checks, headcounts, meal and recreation offerings, and a wide range of other inmate activity logging at the point of responsibility.

Staff at McCracken Co. Regional Jail are now using RFID wristbands to log inmate activities at the point of responsibility with SPARTAN 3, the ultra-rugged Android scanner from GUARDIAN RFID.

Command & Control

GUARDIAN RFID is a platform that's as essential to law enforcement as it is to inmates and their families. It acts as a neutral third party that digitally validates all staff actions and guarantees that inmates and staff are compliant with behaviors and policies while in custody.

According to McCracken Co. Regional Jailer, David Knight, he chose GUARDIAN RFID because of its superior Cloud reporting and data collection, as well as the depth of its configurability. Features such as Workflows, which supports the ability to create fully customizable modules and capture inmate activity logging in real-time, and existing integration support with JailTracker were critical capabilities supported by GUARDIAN RFID.

McCracken Co. Regional Jail staff are now gaining real-time operational awareness with the Command & Control platform’s performance tools, dashboards, reports, and more from any Internet-accessible device.

The GUARDIAN RFID Cloud, OnDemand, will also help McCracken Co. Regional Jail gain real-time situational awareness, monitor security round performance, and access activity streams and reporting tools from anywhere.
