Description

MAPLE GROVE, Minn., January 31, 2022—GUARDIAN RFID, the global leader in inmate management and tracking systems, today announced that the Jim Hogg County Sheriff’s Office has selected GUARDIAN RFID for its county jail to manage, monitor, and track its inmate population.

Jim Hogg Co. has an average daily population of under 50 inmates and has historically kept all data entries on paper logs including movements, rounds, and incidents. However, rounds and documentation had been found to be ineffective as it was an exhaustive, manual process. Lacking team collaboration and digital insight, the medical office was broken into by inmates who stole medications. The Jim Hogg Co. quickly realized the critical need to ensure checks are being conducted on time and properly manage the medical office and medication inventory.

Searching for a bulletproof digital documentation system that unifies the execution of their inmate management objectives, Jim Hogg Co. found GUARDIAN RFID to automate actionable, security-critical workflows using RFID, the Cloud, and mobile. Correctional staff will use Mobile Command running on SPARTAN, an ultra-rugged Android, along with hardened RFID tags to capture a wide range of inmate activities, behavioral observations, inmate movements, program attendance, and court transports. Mobile Command will also enable staff to capture image and video assets during cell checks as well as a signature for critical supplies, which is then uploaded to OnDemand, the GUARDIAN RFID Cloud. OnDemand will allow staff to gain real-time situational awareness and positive ID headcount performance.
