MAPLE GROVE, Minn., November 10, 2020 —GUARDIAN RFID, the global leader in inmate management and tracking systems, today announced that Churchill County Sheriff’s Office in Fallon, Nevada—has selected GUARDIAN RFID for its county jail to manage, monitor, and track its inmate population.
Churchill Co. Jail is a rural facility with an average daily population of nearly 100 inmates. Prior to discovering GUARDIAN RFID, Churchill Co. staff used Guard1 technology. This iButton-based guard tour solution included data collectors known as the PIPE to manage security rounds, inmate movements, and daily activity logging. This manual approach to logging information lacked internal staff collaboration and operational awareness. The poor record keeping and time spent searching for verification left Churchill Co. staff realizing the need for a platform that unifies the execution of their inmate management objectives, using RFID, the Cloud, and mobile to automate actionable security-critical workflows.
Churchill Co. will deploy GUARDIAN RFID’s SPARTAN, an ultra-rugged Android device from GUARDIAN RFID, which runs Mobile Command software to capture a wide range of inmate activities, behavioral observations, inmate movements, program attendance, and court transports. Mobile Command will also enable staff to capture image and video assets during cell checks uploaded to OnDemand, the GUARDIAN RFID Cloud. OnDemand will allow staff to gain real-time situational awareness and monitor security rounds while supporting a two-way interface with their jail management system from Spillman.
