MAPLE GROVE, Minn., May 23, 2019 —Ware Youth Center (Coushatta, Louisiana) has partnered with GUARDIAN RFID to roll out its inmate management system that automatically captures a wide range of inmate activities, behavioral observations, inmate movements, court transports, and positive ID headcounts that works with the county’s existing jail management system.
Located in the northwest corner of Louisiana, Ware Youth Center is a privately-run facility that provides services to many counties for detention and rehabilitation. Searching for a way to better streamline their rounds, Ware Youth Center found GUARDIAN RFID to replace the facility’s long-standing guard tour system that was made up of a manual key and button selection.
Expanding GUARDIAN RFID in the Detention Center, Group Home, Intensive Residential, and Shelter, the Ware Youth Center will have all of its campuses streamlined by an array of hardened RFID tags, RFID Wristbands, and ultra-rugged Android devices called SPARTAN, to manage, monitor, and track residents using Mobile Command, corrections most widely deployed mobile application.
The GUARDIAN RFID system will help staff collect data faster and more comprehensively than its previous manual tools. This includes inmate meal offerings, program attendance, and medication administration records which will help reduce inmate complaints and future litigation while increasing compliance efficiency with Louisana standards. GUARDIAN RFID will also enable staff to share and communicate information faster than ever, thanks to its Cloud-based platform, OnDemand.
