Following numerous issues with their previous guard tour system, known as the “PIPE”, Albemarle District Jail staff needed a more-advanced system with guaranteed functionality. After learning about GUARDIAN RFID’s digital imperative, Albemarle District Jail has confirmed to transform its inmate management objectives with the Command & Control platform to automate its inmate tracking, and security rounds including face-to-face cell checks, and other activity logging in real-time to streamline compliance.
GUARDIAN RFID will replace the facility’s practice of logging rounds, headcounts, incidents, and movement with the PIPE. With Albemarle District Jail staff deploying SPARTAN, the ultra-rugged Android that runs Mobile Command software along with hardened RFID tags, correctional officers will be able to gain real-time situational awareness, monitor security round performance, and access activity streams and reporting tools from anywhere, while working with its jail management system.
With just a few clicks of a button, staff will have the technology for facility-wide inmate identification, tracking, and management capabilities to strategically automate a wide range of data collection and reporting logged at the point of responsibility.
