MAPLE GROVE, Minn., Dec. 14, 2020 —GUARDIAN RFID, the global leader in inmate management and tracking systems, today announced that San Joaquin County Juvenile Probation Dept. in French Camp, California—has selected GUARDIAN RFID for its county jail to manage, monitor, and track its inmate population.
Over the years, San Joaquin County Juvenile Probation Dept. has used Guard 1, an iButton-based guard tour solution that included data collectors known as the PIPE to manage security rounds, inmate movements, and daily activity logging. Staff have noticed the lack of internal staff collaboration and operational awareness and realized it was time to digitally transform their facility.
Selecting GUARDIAN RFID, San Joaquin County Juvenile Probation Dept. correctional staff will be able to utilize a platform that unifies the execution of their inmate management objectives, using RFID, the Cloud, and mobile to automate actionable security-critical workflows.
San Joaquin County Juvenile Probation Dept. will deploy GUARDIAN RFID’s SPARTAN, an ultra-rugged Android device to capture a wide range of inmate activities, behavioral observations, inmate movements, program attendance, and court transports. Mobile Command will also enable staff to capture image and video assets during cell checks uploaded to OnDemand, the GUARDIAN RFID Cloud. OnDemand will allow staff to gain real-time situational awareness and positive ID headcount performance.
