MAPLE GROVE, Minn., September 1, 2023 — GUARDIAN RFID, a global leader in inmate management and tracking systems, announces the Lee County Sheriff's Office (Florida) has deployed GUARDIAN RFID in its facility.
Having traditionally used long-standing paper-based logs and manual forms, the staff at Lee Co. identified that this time-extensive and laboring method didn’t allow for internal staff collaboration and operational awareness. Therefore, the team realized the need for a platform to bolster efficiency in its daily operations and selected GUARDIAN RFID to modernize its facility and inmate management objectives.
Now, with an advanced and comprehensive activity logging solution, Lee Co. is digitally transforming its facility by unifying the execution of its inmate management objectives, using RFID, the Cloud, and mobile to automate actionable, security-critical workflows. By streamlining an array of ruggedized, corrections-grade Android devices called SPARTANs, along with RFID Hard Tags and RFID enabled Wristbands to manage, monitor, and inmates, GUARDIAN RFID is equipped to continually increase officer accountability and seamlessly optimize data collection.
With the ability to digitally capture logs, the Sheriff and his administration can easily review operations and ensure compliance with facility policy and state standards, as well as quickly review staff performance during critical incidents. Ensuring operational efficiency is of paramount importance, particularly in light of the distance between the Main Jail, Downtown Jail, and Court Holding.
With the overarching goal of maintaining round compliance to align compliance with state and other accreditation requirements, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office looks forward to utilizing GUARDIAN RFID technology to the fullest in order to protect the agency’s civil liabilities, the mental health of staff members, and wellness of the offenders in their custody.
