Description

MINNEAPOLIS, February 28, 2023 GUARDIAN RFID, the global leader in officer experience platforms (OXPs) and inmate tracking systems, today announced that they have been named to Inc. Magazine’s third annual Inc. Regionals: Midwest list as the 184th fastest growing company between 2019 and 2021. Born of the annual Inc. 5000 franchise, this regional list represents a unique look at the most successful companies within the Midwest economy’s most dynamic segment–its independent small businesses.

“Our measure of success is simple. We aim to improve the security and safety of correctional officers across the United States so that every team gets home safe,” said Ken Dalley, founder, and Chief Warrior of GUARDIAN RFID. “And today, we’ve built one of the largest, fully-integrated software engineering organizations in public safety. These multidisciplinary teams include mobility, wearables, Cloud, business intelligence, and artificial intelligence, who are fully aligned to protect America’s Thin Gray Line.”

The companies on this list show a remarkable growth rate across all industries in the Midwest region. Between 2019 and 2021, these private companies had an average growth rate of 535 percent and, in 2021 alone, they added 22,750 jobs and nearly $13.9 billion to the Midwest region’s economy. While this is the first time GUARDIAN RFID has been featured on Inc.’s Regional list, the company received a rank of #3633 on Inc.’s National list in 2022 and #3024 in 2021 after reporting record growth and innovation.

“This year’s Inc. 5000 Regional winners represent one of the most exceptional and exciting lists of America’s off-the-charts growth companies. They’re disrupters and job creators, and all delivered an outsize impact on the economy. Remember their names and follow their lead. These are the companies you’ll be hearing about for years to come,” said Scott Omelianuk, editor-in-chief of Inc. magazine.

More about Inc. and the Inc. 5000 Regionals

Methodology

The 2023 Inc. 5000 Regionals are ranked according to percentage revenue growth when comparing 2019 and 2021. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2019. They had to be U.S.-based, privately held, for-profit, and independent—not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies—as of December 31, 2021. (Since then, a number of companies on the list have gone public or been acquired.) The minimum revenue required for 2019 is $100,000; the minimum for 2021 is $1 million. As always, Inc. reserves the right to decline applicants for subjective reasons.
