Jail leveraging RFID + mobile technology to increase operational efficiency and legal defensibility.

Maple Grove, Minn.  and Jonesboro, Ark. Feb. 20, 2015 — GUARDIAN RFID and the Craighead County Sheriff’s Office today deployed the GUARDIAN RFID Corrections System in the 381-bed adult detention facility.  Craighead County Jail will be using GUARDIAN RFID to automate its day-to-day inmate management data collection and reporting needs in real-time.  The deployment includes Cisco Wi-Fi access points, RFID wristbands, ruggedized mobile computers,  and GUARDIAN RFID sensors.

“GUARDIAN RFID is a complete system that’s going to help our staff work smarter and faster, and protect the sheriff’s office from frivolous or inaccurate claims,” said Brett Duncan, Jail Administrator.  “This is technology uniquely built to protect and assist our staff.”

Headcounts, cell checks and security checks, inmate movements, and a wide range of inmate activity logging will be captured instantly to more effectively manage and track inmate movements.  GUARDIAN RFID interfaces with Craighead Co.’s jail management system from Relativity.

Craighead County Jail is deploying GUARDIAN RFID through a partnership between the Association of Arkansas Counties Risk Management Services (AACRMS) and GUARDIAN RFID.
